Ten questions posed to our lead consultant

Ten short interview questions quickly reveal the breadth of experience and commitment of our lead consultant as a trainer.

1. Who are you?
I’m Lisa Slevin, Training Manager (Development, QA, Work-based Learning) responsible for Eastwood Park’s work-based and higher education programmes, together with the responsibility for the development, accreditation, quality and compliance of all Eastwood Park’s training courses.

2. How did you discover us?
Dr Scott had been delivering and supporting the development of Eastwood Park’s medical equipment courses since 2014 and was a natural fit to be involved with the development and delivery of our FdSc Medical Equipment Technologies and BSc Management of Healthcare Engineering Technologies and Facilities degree programmes when they were launched in 2016. Dr Scott has been a key member of the degree development and delivery team since.

3. Why did you choose us over others in the market?
Dr Scott clinical, technical and academic background naturally supported our degree programmes. Whilst, of course, the technical and clinical experience and knowledge were essential, Dr Scott’s academic achievements and experiences enhanced our offerings to our students.

4. What is your favourite thing about working with us?
What I, and my team, appreciate about working with Dr Scott is the quality outcomes we get. From study materials to student support, we are always confident this will be delivered on time and well.

5. How was your experience using our services?
Dr Scott’s responsive, reliable and supportive approach has been consistently valuable to our programmes and students. Dr Scott has supported “over and above” on many occasions whether this is additional support to an individual student or responding to additional marking requests at short notice.

6. How has our service exceeded your initial expectations?
Dr Scott has supported a number of initiatives within our degree programmes. Examples of this are advising on future developments to ensure our programmes stay current and relevant, together with taking on additional modules where his wider experiences have been put forward.

7. How often do you use our services?
Dr Scott delivers across our academic year.

8. What is one problem that you had which our services have solved or improved?
I wouldn’t necessarily say we’ve had a problem which has been solved or improved but as mentioned, Dr Scott’s significant knowledge, experiences, approach to development and delivery have consistently enhanced our services to students.

9. Is there anything we could do to make our service better?
Nothing I can think of!

10. What is one reason you would recommend our services?
More than one reason but in summary; reliability, knowledge, supportive approach, responsiveness, timely outcomes.
